Wallingford Child Care Center (WCCC) is searching for outstanding teachers to join our team. Our little ones need you! Wallingford Childcare Center is looking for experienced, caring full-time staff to support our classrooms in the morning. As a member of our support staff, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups. Our small classrooms and low ratios allow you the opportunity to really engage with students and parents and enjoy your time in the center!

Full-time shifts: Monday - Friday 7:15am - 3:45pm

Join our team and receive a $1500 bonus: $500 paid upon hire and $1000 after 6 months!

Who are we?

Our curriculum is based on Resources for Infant Educators (RIE) philosophy for our infants and waddlers. We support our toddler through Pre-K children's learning through an emergent curriculum that reflects their interests and curiosity with influences from the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

You are:

You are an experienced caregiver looking for a place to grow your practice and enjoy our special community. You enjoy working with other teachers in a variety of age groups to provide the best for all of our children. You appreciate the connection to other staff and families that comes with working in a smaller environment.

The Details

  • Full-time

  • $21.00-$22.00 per hour

  • Schedule: 7:15am - 3:45pm Monday-Friday

  • Eligible for a $1,500 signing bonus ($500 paid upon hire and $1,000 after 6 months).

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

  • Negative TB test

  • Cleared background check (prior to start)

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Respectful, thoughtful, and purposeful approach to children and adults

  • Preferred: at least 1 year experience working with young children

Complete Within 30 Days of Hire

  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid

  • Food Handler Permit

  • 30 Hour Basic Stars training

Education, Experience, Training

  • High school or equivalent (required)

  • At least 1 year of teaching experience

  • 1 year of Early Childhood Education

  • CPR Certification (preferred)

  • Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
